Dave’s parents bought him an accordion when he was 10 years old. In junior high, he realized that the accordion was not “a chick magnet”. After many petitions to his parents, they relented and bought him a guitar. He’s not sure it made the least bit of difference with the girls…
but “Hey it was worth a shot."
Dave’s first professional gig was in 1973. He has played with many talented musicians during his musical journey. The journey continues to this day with Arizona’s Canyon Band.
Jerry is originally from Blythe CA. He grew up with a love of music and the desire to play guitar.
Jerry started playing at the age of 13, starting in garage bands. In his senior year of high school, when his family moved to Gilbert he started his first “real rock n roll band."
Jerry says, “What a blast that was, and it’s still a blast today!”
He has enjoyed playing the Phoenix area all this time with some great musicians.
Mark grew up in Enid OK. He says that he thought he was a drummer when he started playing music in high school. Then he discovered the bass guitar in the 70’s and has been a bass man ever since.
Mark has been playing professionally in the Phoenix area since the mid-70s, working with many bands.
“I count myself fortunate to be playing with Arizona’sCanyon Band. What a ride!”
Lynne grew up on a farm, remote from city living, the closest town had a population of 460 people. Her entertainment and connection with the outside world was listening to the radio and singing along to country music and later on, rock n roll. “Country dances and country bands at the Grange Hall were a big deal in my young life.”
Lynne has been performing in Arizona for nearly three decades in church choirs, bluegrass, country and rock n roll bands.
Daniel is from Denver Colorado.
He has been playing professionally for 40-plus years in more bands than he can remember.
Daniel has worked in Orchestral, Jazz, Rock, Celtic, and top 40 road bands, traveling nationally and worldwide.
He has recorded with many bands and musicians including Rick Wakeman from Yes, Phil Keaggy, Ajalon, Neal Morse Band and Ockham's Razor, to name a few.
Arizona has been his home since 2021.
Dennis grew up in the 60’s listening to his parents albums and fell in love with music. He never learned to play an instrument but passionately enjoyed listening to it.
Later in life, Dennis’ church asked him to run the the soundboard for the band, which he mastered quickly. He found that he loved being involved!
Dennis jumped at the opportunity to run the soundboard for Canyon band and truly enjoys being a part of the whole canyon band experience!
